Film features a story on the Canadian Forestry Corps. which contributed to the war effort by tackling the stands of old forest in Scotland to produce lumber for Britain's war needs. Featured are several shots of Canadian soldiers with shoulder flashes which read "RCA", "RCAMC" and "RCASC" and soldiers disembarking from a troop ship and boarding a train. The film talks of how these men from Canada's lumber regions have enlisted to become the Canadian Forestry Corps. Several sequences feature the recruits felling long-standing trees, milling the timber to make lumber and training soldiers during maneuvers. The film also features how the Canadians bring with them the "attitudes of the new world" with such characters as the "full blooded Indian", the "charming French-Canadian" and the "friendly westerner", who have all arrived to help Britain in its moment of need. <10mn 20s>
